Are you a sharp, detail-oriented professional with a strategic mindset and a passion for accuracy? We are looking for a dynamic Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team. In this role, you won't just count materials—you will be the architectural backbone of our bidding process, calculating costs, managing deadlines, and mapping out the technical execution for large-scale commercial roofing projects.
From massive complete replacements to high-value repairs and preventative rooftop maintenance programs, your precision will drive our growth and ensure our projects are set up for absolute success.
What You’ll Do (The Mission)
- Master the Estimate: Accurately calculate labor, material, and equipment costs for large-scale commercial roofing projects, anticipating variables to keep bids realistic and profitable.
- Own the Bid Deadline: Build detailed, highly competitive bid packages and proposals on tight timelines to consistently win new business.
- Define the Scope: Analyze blueprints, architectural specifications, and field roof surveys to map out a precise, actionable scope of work.
- Engineer the Solution: Select building materials that perfectly balance cost, longevity, manufacturer warranty requirements, and structural specifications.
- Bridge the Communication Gap: Collaborate seamlessly with clients, project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure alignment from concept to completion.
- Drive Data & Software Excellence: Leverage estimating software, historical data, and cost-control systems to track contracts and continuously optimize bidding accuracy.
What You Bring to the Table
- The Experience: Prior commercial roofing experience is highly preferred, though a proven track record in structural construction estimating or related engineering fields will be considered.
- Technical Savvy: Hands-on familiarity with CAD software, digital take-off tools, and cost-control systems.
- Systems Knowledge: A solid understanding of diverse commercial roofing systems (including flat roof membranes like TPO/EPDM, ballast systems, and commercial shingle applications).
- The Essentials: A "hawk eye" for detail, exceptional problem-solving skills under tight deadlines, and the communication skills to represent our brand to high-level stakeholders.
